The Next Health Food: Popcorn
Hold the salt. And the butter. If you do that, popcorn may be one of the most healthful foods you can eat, according to research conducted at the University of Scranton. ScienceDaily reports that researchers at the school have learned that the popular snack contains more of the healthful antioxidant substances called “polyphenols” than fruits and vegetables. The researchers claim that just one serving of popcorn will provide more than 70 percent of the daily intake of whole grain. Read more in ScienceDaily.
