How To Add 20 Years To Your Life
Men, how much do you want to add 20 years to your life? Probably less than is needed to follow the suggestion of a report in Current Biology. That report, for which researchers studied the lifespans of Korea’s eunuch families from 1556 and 1861, found that castrated men live roughly 19 years longer than men who have everything in left in place. BBC reports on the study, which suggests that testosterone, which is largely produced in the testes, could weaken the immune system or damage the heart. That would begin to explain why women in many societies outlive men.
