Exercise Exorcises Desire To Smoke
Does anyone still smoke cigarettes? Does anyone who still smokes cigarettes want to quit? If so, they should try walking, running, light, moderate, and vigorous-intensity cycling, or isometric exercise, and they should keep it up at least until they break a sweat. The Atlantic reports that a meta-analysis of 19 studies of the relationship between short bouts of physical activity and the desire to smoke showed that both the desire to smoke and the strength of desire decreased by about one third after people who were exercising broke a sweat.
