The DASH diet, the Yankees of weight-loss food plans, has taken top honors (again) in US News & World Report’s annual rating of diet plans. DASH, which pushes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nixes high-fat dairy products and high-sugar foods, was voted best overall diet, best diet to control diabetes, and best diet to promote health. In other categories, the Weight Watcher diet was chosen best diet for losing weight; the Ornish Diet was the most heart-healthy diet, and the Weight Watchers was chosen as the easiest diet to follow.
