Cycling Across America

That’s right. Across America. If you’ve ever dreamed of cycling across the country, now’s your chance to do it vicariously, also known as painlessly, by reading the blog called SRRAAM –obviously short for “Sarah and Ron Ride Across America.” Sarah and Ron (you know them as well as we do) left Huntington Beach, California on April 25, and they hope to average 115 miles a day, arriving in Boston on May 26. They are riding with pack of 15 riders, including one 71-year-old named Gert, who may or may not go the distance. More importantly, they are raising money for the American Diabetes Association, hoping that their efforts will improve the lives of the 18 million people in this country who live with diabetes. If you’re eager to write check to help them out, the blog includes links that make it easy to do that. And if you’re less than eager, you still may want to check this out. I’m not sure what it is, but something tells me this trip could get interesting.

Hello my name is Andrew Legorreta. I am interested on going on this journey. The onmly problem is I have school. I was wondering if you could suggest any other tours that take a month to go cross country.Ones that start in June

  2. Hello to All, here’s my experience to-date on my solo venture across the U.S. I’ve broken my trip into five segments and I’ve done three so far, covering San Diego CA to San Antonio TX. Next two segments (which I’m thinking of combining into one): San Antonio to New Orleans and New Orleans to Jacksonville FLA

  3. The American Lung Association has a ride across America in the summer…The Big Ride. You would need to gather up some donations to enter, and it takes about 6 weeks of riding from Washington State to Washington, D.C. Wish I could go!
