Skin Cancer Risk High For Stubborn Gender

Ever wonder why men over 50 are twice as likely to get skin cancer (and die from it) as are women over 50? According to the American Cancer Society, there are two big reasons: men spend more time outdoors, and when they are outdoors, men are more likely to neglect the simple sun blocking precautions that we’ve all heard for decades. Why is that? The New York Times, reporting on the skin cancer discrepancy, quotes one medical expert who believes that men spare the sun blockling lotion not because they forget to apply it, but because they simply don’t like the way it feels.
