Women: Hormone Replacement Won’t Mess Up Your Mind

Post-menopausal wimagesomen who worry that hormone replacement will make them even spacier can chill out, literally. A study by researchers at Monash University suggests that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) E2D, using a combination of hormones estradiol and drospirenone, significantly improved menopausal symptoms, such as night sweats, and had no effect on the cognitive performance of early postmenopausal women. A Monash news release reports that women between 49 and 55 who had never used HRT were assessed over a six-month period. Read the study here.
