MovNat: Who Needs A Gym When You’ve Got A Planet?

Barefoot running was just the beginning. There's a whole world, literally, of workouts that require no investment in special equipment. The Wall Street Journal reports on the growing popularity of MovNat, a fitness regimen that makes use of natural fitness equipment, like trees, and lakes and mountains, to "rehabiliate the zoo human." What does that mean? MovNat explains that "it involves the combined training of walking, running, jumping, balancing, moving on all fours, climbing, lifting, carrying, throwing, catching, swimming and defending." Think of it as The Workout That Time Forgot.

  1. I applaud his awesome fitness, but soon he’ll be dead or seriously injured.

  2. Oh, how cool! Pretty music, beautiful surroundings! I am so compelled to do the same thing!! NOT!!!! This idiot will injure himself countless times then will sit on his butt (getting out of shape recuperating). He’s young and idealistic but not bullet proof. He’ll learn.

  3. I’m going to go cut the grass, edge, and cut weeds out of my rose bushes. What tunes should I be humming?
