The New York Times reports on a new study of 767 men with prostate cancer that had not left the gland. Some of them were treated with hormones, and some did nothing. After 20 years, a majority of those with that had low-grade cancer were either alive and well, or had died of other causes. Those who had high-grade cancer, however, were far less likely to survive.
