Music does more than sooth the soul; it trains the feet to be where there supposed to be, a practice that has been shown to reduce the risk of fallling in elderly people by 50 percent. The New York Times reports on a 12-month study that involved 134 people, average age 75. Half of the recruits took weekly, hourlong classes in eurhythmics, an exercise-and-music program designed for young children, for a full year, and the other half for just the last six months. The Times reports that in the full-year group, there were just 24 falls over the first six months, compared with 54 among those who were not taking the classes, and that after the classes ended, all of the eurhythmic trained people had better balance and walked with a more regular gait than they had before they took eurhythmics.
I got it! Put one foot in front of the other Yea! Maybe they forgot? Reminds me of a joke. A hippie went to the barber to get a hair cut.He had a radio and headphones on.He raised one side and said, need a hair cut.The barber went to work on him,but in a tight place he taped the hippie on the arm. The hippie raised one ear piece and the barber told him that he would have to take off the headphones. The hippie said just cut around them, but he couldn’t so the hippie took them off and fell dead! The barber picked up the headphone and put it to his ear to hear this-breath in- breath out-breath in- breath out! And try to remember to have a Nice Day!
