Kevin Stone has served as a physician for the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Pro Ski
Tour, the modern pentathlon at the U.S. Olympic Festival, and for the U. S. Olympic
Training Center.
Geezer, on the other hand, has watched several Olympic skiing events on television.
So, when offering advice on how to get in shape for ski season, Geezer respectfully turns over the mike to the good doctor. Here are five of ten great exercises for hopeful skiers published on the doctor’s Stone Foundation website.
1. For cardio: Get on a bike and ride. Fast.
2. For strength: Walk backwards upstairs.
3. For speed: Run stairs, the bigger the better. Stadium steps rule.
4. For agility: Do side-to-side leaps from a semi-squat.
5. For balance: Stand on one leg with eyes closed.
