More Romantic Than Chocolate: Full Moon Snowshoe

The good news is that this is not another Valentine’s Day column about the health benefits of chocolate. As happens every February, Geezer is weary of reading about the health benefits of chocolate, let alone writing about them. Besides, Geezer has found a Valentine’s Day activity (no, not that one) that is more healthful than eating chocolate, and far more romantic: snowshoeing in the light of the full moon. At this point Geezer would like to explain the rationale for his earlier unkind comments about snowshoeing. He was referring to snowshoeing during the daylight hours. Snowshoeing during the night, and especially snowshoeing beneath a full moon, is entirely different. It’s cool. As this piece in the San Francisco Chronicle explains, any fool can do it, even a romantic fool. This year, as luck and Cupid would have it, the full moon falls on February 13. Close enough for lovers.
