Why Your Fat Will Not Go Away

Wanna know why your fat won’t go away? Location, location, location. If you’re a man, chances are the fat that won’t go away is in your midsection. And if you’re a woman, the fat that won’t go away is probably on your hips. A nice, reader-friendly explanation of the problem is provided by the Moving Crew, who tell us a few things we know– that the calories we don’t burn are stored as fat, and some things we don’t know–  that the location of the repositories for fat has a general order of preference, and that that order of preference is different for men and for women. In men, for example, the fat goes first to the belly, then to the thighs and upper arms.  In women, it heads straight for the butt and thighs and travels elsewhere later.  Predictably, the order of fat withdrawal is the opposite of that of fat deposit, so men have a very hard time trimming their midsection, and women go nuts trying to take extra weight off their hips. What to do? The answer to that is one that, sadly, we’ve all heard before: burn more calories than you consume. More on how to do that from the Moving Crew, and elsewhere on SportsGeezer.
