Health experts at the Mayo Clinic have some advice for people who wear a mask while exercising: don’t go crazy. They recommend low to moderate intensity training, the kind of training that allows you to breathe well enough that your body can regulate its temperature. What kind of mask is best? Not an N95 mask. Those masks can increase levels of humidity, heat, breath resistance and overall discomfort. Try to find a mask whose material is no more than two layers thick.
