20 Minutes of Exercise Slows Inflammation

Just 20 minutes of exercise, and not even strenuous exercise, is all it takes to reduce the kind of inflammation that can eventually lead to heart disease and other long term ailments. HealthDay reports on research conducted at the University of California in San Diego that tested the blood of 47 volunteers before and after they walked at moderate speed for 20 minutes on a treadmill. The post walk reading showed a 5 percent drop in immune cells linked to inflammation.
