Three Cups Of Coffee Lowers Death Risk

Three to five cups of coffee imgresa day won’t just keep you from falling asleep at work, it may save you from premature death. That’s the suggestion of a recent study by researchers at Harvard’s Chan School of Public Health. A Chan School news release reports that the researchers analyzed health data gathered from three large ongoing studies: 74,890 women in the Nurses’ Health Study; 93,054 women in the Nurses’ Health Study 2; and 40,557 men in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study. Ready, the envelope please…The researchers found that moderate coffee consumption was associated with reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, and suicide. There was no association with cancer.

  1. This is great news in the wake of the blog about the hazards of too much endurance exercise. My daily 3-4 cups of coffee will offset the deleterious effects of all the running and cycling I do. 😉
