Why should you care about the seven rules of mindful eating? Because mindful eating, in the words of Lilian Cheung, editorial director of The Nutrition Source of the Harvard School of Public Health, will help you maintain a healthful body weight, which will lead to a more satisfying life, a good thing. Working with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, Cheung co-authored the book Savor: Mindful Eating, Mindful Life, a guide to much more than the seven rules of mindful eating, which, now that we mention it, are: 1.Honor the food. 2. Engage all of your senses. 3. Watch that portion size, do not take too much. 4. Chew the food, taste comes from having food in mouth. 5. Eat slowly, enjoy the food. 6. Do not skip meals. 7. Eat a plant -based diet.
