Just remember this: If you take omega-3 supplements you’ll have a better chance of remembering this. That’s the conclusion of researchers at the University of Pittsburgh, who boosted the omega-3 intake of healthy men and women between the ages of 18 and 24 and then gave them a memory test. A University of Pittsburgh news release reports that after six months of taking Lovazaâ€â€an Omega-3 supplement approved by the Food and Drug Administrationâ€â€the participants took a working memory test and their blood was sampled. The researchers found that those who had taken omega-3s had a marked improvement in cognition. They also found that even before the test period, those with higher omega-3 counts in their blood performed better on the memory test. Read more from the University of Pittsburgh.
