Yet another thing that sets men and women in opposite corners: their response to advertisements for weight loss programs. Researchers at the University of Michigan have found that the kind of ads that were most likely to get men off their butts, those promoting weight-loss and health, did not motivate women. In fact, the researchers report, ads for weight loss mainly made women feel worse about their bodies. What does motivate women to exercise?
