Want to be even more self-conscious of everything that’s wrong with your appearance? Spend time on Facebook. That, according to research conducted at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt in Maryland, will remind you of how many people are thinner than you are. Tech News Daily reports that when researchers at the center surveyed 600 Facebook users, more than half said that Facebook makes them more self-conscious about their bodies and weight. The researchers found that more women than men admitted they’d like to lose some weight, 75 percent compared to 58 percent, but men were far more vocal about their dissatisfaction, with 40 percent saying they’ve posted negative comments about their bodies.
