Exercise Won’t Save You From Risks Of Sitting Too Long

Sitting, SportsGeezer readers know, may be the most dangerous thing you do all day, especially if you do it all day. Now comes a study from the University of Leicester suggesting that the health risks of sitting too long are impervious even to the benefits of exercise. It’s true. A University of Leicester news release reports that the study, which combined the results of 18 studies and included a total of 794,577 participants, suggests that if you sit too long, even the recommended daily exercise routines will not save you from increased risk of diabetes, heart disease and yes, death.
