At some point in life, it's definitely not better to look good than to feel good. And while that point is different for everyone, researchers at Baylor University can tell you that it probably comes before age 69. That was the average age of the nearly 1,900 participants in a study that asked people to do 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous excercise for 30 minutes a day for five weeks. The group was then questioned about improved body functionality and appearance. The researchers found that for men, body functionality was likely to be more important than appearance. Women were slower to shift priorities, as were people with a college degree.
When I was 35 to 40, I did not enjoy spending much time with acquaintances 65 or 70. Now that I am a “young 71” it puzzles me why people look at older people differently.
I really can’t complain since I was guilty of the same thing.
I honestly feel the only thing that has changed about me is my appearance.
it’s cool i am 64 look like 50 and get teased about being an old man I think young people are afraid to admitt they will get old to, and they honestly dont want to look older so they lash out with remarks that seperate them from being old however just like u and I found out you get there sooner then later. what can you do… just fight it and be glad your healthy. and does it really matter what they think or say youth is wasted on the young anyway lol
