First, the best way not to lose a headache, at least the kind of headache that keeps on keeping on: pain relievers. The Wall Street Journal gently reminds us that taking over the counter pain relievers more than 10 days a month can cause "medication-overuse headaches," which are no less painful than the headache that started it all. What should you do? The Journal reports that a recent study of 50,000 Norwegians found that people who exercised at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week, had far fewer migraines or tension headaches than those who didn't. The paper also suggests finding ways to relax and alleviate stressâ€â€such as yoga, massage or isometrix neck exercises. If that doesn't work, the paper points out, there is always acupuncture. Yes, its effectiveness has been proven is several studies.
Interesting.
For anyone that thinks the studies showing acupuncture works were good studies, you should visit http://www.sciencebasedmedecine.org and do little research.
This is for people that get a headache once in a while. That will not work for people who get chronic headaches!!! I always get a laugh at this bullsh** ! Talk to people that get bad headaches !
