Outside Magazine’s “Healthiest Wine” Advice

OK, so they should have said "most healthful wine," –nobody cares about usage in the post-Twitter world–Outside magazine's Danielle Lafata answers a reader's query about what kind of wine to drink if the drinker hopes to get the greatest health benefits. And the answer is… "red wines like pinot noir, syrah, cabernet and merlot. Wines made using red grapes are packed with healthy antioxidants, particularly flavonoids like anthocyanins and tannins, and reservatol." Lafata also recommends limiting "wine intake to 10 ounces per day if you’re a woman and 15 ounces if you’re a man to stay within the healthy guidelines set by the American Heart Association." Who asked about that?
