Men claim to enjoy it. Women say they do it as a means to an end. Men go harder, faster. Women take it slow. We're talking about exercise; specifically, about the results of a survey taken by Weight Watchers on the goals and strategies of men and women who workout at the gym. Vicky Hallett reports in the Washington Post on the survey, which found that a much higher percentage of men believe that exercise is enough to slim down, whereas women tend to embrace a smarter combination of eating healthier and moving more. The researchers also found that women are likely to take small steps toward a goal while men are quick to make sweeping changes. Wait, there's more: Men are much more likely to hit the weights; women go for cardio.
