No, you can't read them on Consumer Reports, at least not without a subscription, but the Boston Globe kindly published the results of Consumer Reports 2011 rankings of diet plans. The Globe reports that Jenny Craig came out of top — mainly because a two-year study found that 92 percent of participants were able to stick with a Jenny Craig program for two years while maintaining an average weight loss of more than 8 percent of their initial body weight. Next on the list are Slimfast, Weight Watchers, the Zone, Ornish, and Atkins. The magazine reportedly based its rankings on nutrient content, weight loss — both short- and long-term — and dropout rates, with data collected from published studies.
