A Glass of Wine A Day Staves Off Dementia

It's an example of safety in numbers: one glass of wine, not four, has been found to reduce the likelihood of developing dementia. The Telegraph reports on research conducted at Oxford University that followed 3,200 people over 75, who had no signs of dementia when they enrolled on the study, for three years. The researchers found those who drank between two and three units a day (20 to 30ml) were 29 percent less likely to have started developing dementia by the end of the three-year period than those who were teetotal. Two to three units is equivalent to a medium-sized (175ml) glass of wine (2.3 units) or a pint of beer (2.8 units). The results for Alzheimer's, which accounts for two-thirds of dementia cases, were even more striking: such drinkers were 42 percent less likely to have developed the disease.

  1. Thats not all Wine will do. Just take a look at Societies that make regular use of the fruit drink. There are several health problems we consider almost normal here that hardly exist there. One should make use of this, regularly, as the article points out for medicinal reason’s and not just to get a buzz!
My Father told me so. He even made sure it was recorded and kept for future readers. Look it up. 1st. Tim 5:23
