Gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, stomach cancer, aesophogeal cancer, and some lung cancers are significantly less likely to kill people who have taken low-dose (75 mg) aspirin each day for many years. BusinessWeek reports that British researchers analyzed eight studies involving more than 25,500 patients, which had originally been conducted to examine the protective potential of a low-dose aspirin regimen on cardiovascular disease. The researchers found that overall cancer death risk was cut by 21 percent among those taking low-dose aspirin, although people had to take aspirin for several years before any benefits were seen. After taking low-dose aspirin for five years, deaths from gastrointestinal cancers sunk by 54 percent; stomach and colorectal cancer death benefit was not seen until 10 years out, and for prostate cancer, the benefits first appeared after 15 years. Twenty years after first beginning a low-dose aspirin program, death risk dropped by 10 percent among prostate cancer patients; 30 percent among lung cancer patients (although only those with adenocarcinomas, the type typically seen in nonsmokers); 40 percent among colorectal cancer patients; and 60 percent among esophageal cancer patients. The researchers found that higher doses of aspirin did not appear to boost the protective benefit.

Question? If a little does a little good,why then wouldn’t moor do moor good? Kind of like,One drink has a little buzz and three has a bid buzz! If I drive slow I’ll get their but if I drive faster I’ll get their sooner !So taking 75mg of aspirin to do any good takes over 5 years,why not take 325mg for 6 months and do the same thing! They said they found that higher doses did not ( appear )to boost the benefit. But they didn’t say that they had research to that affect.And if they did big money stoped them from saying so. Perhaps taking more isn’t better for you for the same reasons that drinking in excess is not better for you than drinking in moderation.
The best thing for you would probably be to take the whole bottle of aspirin and become cancer proof! Since you would likely hemorrhage and die thus avoiding all risk of cancer formation. If it doesn’t work right away just take another bottle; problem solved.
