More Evidence of Link Between BPA and Male Sexual Problems

In November, Geezer reported that researchers at the Kaiser Foundation Research Institute learned that male factory workers who handled BPA, a chemical used in making many plastic drinking bottles, (and had levels of exposure to BPA that
were 50 times what an average U.S. man faces) were four times as likely
to suffer from erectile
dysfunction, and seven times as likely to have difficulty with
ejaculation than men who did not handle the chemical. Now comes part II of the same Kaiser study, which links increasing urine BPA level with decreased sexual desire,
more difficulty having an erection, lower ejaculation strength and lower
level of overall satisfaction with sex life. Science Daily reports that the study, conducted among 427 male workers in four regions of China
where high levels of BPA exposure existed, revealed a dose-response association between increasing urine BPA level and
declining male sexual function that was consistent across all categories measuring male sexual dysfunction.

  4. Sorry, although I’ve learned to speak English (with some success), I have never mastered “Alphabet Speak”. Is “BPA” British Petroleum Additives, Bunched Panty Ants, Bicycle Pole Ache, Bipartisan Political Asholes or what? You could also send out a decoder ring to your regular readers and then we could all play the game.
    Thanks.

  5. I agree!! Very crude to come out with an article like this and not give the slightest hint of what BPA is. I looked it up for you and will paste below:
    What is BPA?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an industrial chemical which is used to harden plastic. This controversial chemical has been linked to breast cancer and prostate cancer. Bisphenol A is found in many polycarbonate plastic food containers, bottles, mugs and in the lining of metal cans. BPA (labeled #7) can leach into the food and drink we ingest and heat can further accelerate this process. This toxic chemical mimics estrogen – a hormone that controls brain development, the reproductive system and fetus maturation.
Numerous studies have shown that Bisphenol A can leach into food and water. Studies have shown that BPA can be found in almost every American’s urine. Some argue that Bisphenol A is only dangerous at high levels, while others stress that there is no safe level of BPA. In fact, scientists have recently found that BPA has spread throughout the world’s oceans.

  6. BPA is a chemical the assist in the making of plastics, canned food, paper and many other products. If you like to drink or eat, it’s in your body accumulating every day. We as americans need to ban this product it is linked to cancer and it is known to cause diabetes and nerve and brain damage in children. Look it up this is an epedemic. I also beleive that this is the cause of autism in children. The fda undr presisident Bush did nothing to stop it but know the FDA is looking agin at it. Ban it it’s killing all of us.

  7. Bunch of garbage! The loonies will whine and cry but life will go on.
Ban the fools who want to ban the chemical – it is only the ‘in Thing’ for them to go after. Next it will probably be ???

  8. Thanks for the info which is very helpful and appreciated.
