Want to cut calories without changing what you eat? Eat it slower. The New York Times' Anahad O'Connor directs our attention to three studies, one indicating that eating slowly releases more hormones that make us feel full than eating quickly does, and another indicating that slow eaters consume 10 percent fewer calories than fast eaters do. O'Connor's third study shows that people who eat fast are three times as likely to be overweight as those who don't.
