File under "From Bad to Worse." The biggest problem with erectile dysfunction, research now suggests, is not erectile dysfunction. It's the all too firm connection between erectile dysfunction and heart disease. The Los Angeles Times reports that scientists at Germany's Saarland University studied 1,519 men who were involved in a study of two
drugs to treat cardiovascular disease. The paper reports that the men were also queried about
their ED at the beginning of the study, two years into it and at the
end at five years. Fifty-five percent of the men had ED at the beginning of the
trial, nearly double the normal incidence of about 30 percent in the
population at large. The researchers found that over the course of five years, men with ED were 1.9 times as likely to die from heart
disease, twice as likely to have a heart attack, 1.2 times as likely to
be hospitalized for heart failure and 1.1 times more likely to have a
stroke. The risks increased with the severity of the ED.
Well, if you have ED you might as well be dead and a heart attack is as good as any other way to go…but it is a bummer.
If you have ED you may as well be dead???
You have the IQ of a dodo bird.
Is the converse true? If you can pitch a boner every night does this mean that you do not have heart disease?
That’s really sad I think depression is sometimes is not help a lot specially if you have ED.
My, my, my…..
Geo, you’re a complete jerk with no sense of humor who probably can’t get it up (and who SportsGeezer is protecting while he allows you to call names…).
Lighten up, relax and, by the way, I am a member of Mensa.
Come on, Geezer, play fair…
Congratulations, some serial killers also had
high IQ’s.
Well, that’s one thing you’ll never have to be concerned about now isn’t it! (smile) Have a good day, or as good a day as you can have.
There is a pilot for a sitcom about a horse that can’t get it up called….drum roll please…Mr. ED.
News Flash….saliva taken orally in small quantities over a long period of time can be fatal…….
Geo sure does sound intelligent, huh? LOL Might actually be a serial killer…………
While the jokes are funny, ED is not a joking matter. Not only does ED effect sexual health and can effect relationships, ED can be a pre-cursor to more serious health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and depression.
