Many health-minded people over 40 take calcium supplements to strengthen bones. It's a nice thought, but researchers at the University of Auckland have some bad news: a meta-analysis of 11 randomized, controlled trials involving 11,921
people suggests that calcium supplements do almost nothing to strengthen bones, but they do increase the risk of heart attack. HealthDay reports that the scientists found a 30 percent increased likelihood of having a heart attack, as well as statistically insignificant increase in the risk for stroke
and death
among people older than 40 who were taking calcium supplements.
Dos anyone during these “studies” actually look at all contributing factors. Things like people who don’t take supplements may tend to eat healthier and live a healthier lifestyle as opposed to many who take supplements like they are magic pills that will counteract their bad eating habits and sedentary life.
What a bunch of Crap!
They tweek the study so that any contributing factors to the success of the supplement are removed and then conclude that supplements are BAD for you …. sponsored (when you dig deep enough) by the Pharma trade associations I’m positive.
This is what happens when natural supplements compete legitimately w/drugs …. and you can’t patent natural supplements … the drug companies engage in abstracted and protracted information wars …
Guess what guys … they are LOSING!
Consuming calcium supplements in our daily life is very good habit. That strenghtens our bones. But this is very shocking new to me. I never heard about it.https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=batch_download&send_id=817789614&email=7cff47bb7cdcb76fbfa15e66c81a1961 Anyway try to be in safer side.
Maybe taking too much calcium supplements raise cardiac risk. However if it’s taken properly, I think there won’t be any problem.
