No one ever said life was fair. Or politically correct. And few neurologists ever said much of anything that the rest of us could understand, let alone dispute. Now, however, U.S. News & World Report directs our attention to research conducted at UCLA, where neurologists studied the relationship of obesity and brain size. The scientists looked at brain images of 94 people in their 70s who had participated in an earlier study looking at cardiovascular health and cognition. The subjects were followed for five years, and any volunteers who
developed cognitive symptoms were excluded from the study. When the dust cleared, researchers found this unpleasant news: when compared to normal-weight people, clinically
obese people had 8 percent less brain tissue, while overweight people had
4 percent less brain tissue. Yikes! How did that happen? The magazine quotes Dr. Mitchell Roslin, chief of obesity surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, explaining why he is not surprised. "The body is
completely linked," says Roslin. "We are what we eat and we eat too much. An obese, sedentary person is going to have a
breakdown of every organ system, and that includes a greater chance of
impotence and infertility and other things that people don't generally
think are directly related to obesity."
At 6’2″ and 310 lbs. With an IQ near 200 it just goes to show that all the “Fatheads” are not always the fat
people. It’s most always the idiots who waist money for
worthless studies like this just to keep a needless
job..

You’d think someone with “an IQ near 200” would spell a little better. Or at least know the difference between ‘waist’ and ‘waste.’

Hey, give the man a break. He’s a Paladin, after all. Therefor, there’s no possible way he could be lying about his IQ. Lying would be a “waist” of his time.
[Goes to show that taking online IQ tests might not be such a good idea, eh?]
Anyways, towards the actual discussion, it sounds accurate. Whether you want to agree with it or not, it’s not like being clinically obese can ever be considered healthy anyways.
