Coffee May Cut Prostate Cancer Risk

A new study by researchers at the Harvard Medical School suggests that drinking coffee may reduce the risk of advanced prostate cancer. The BBC reports that when researchers looked at the coffee intake of nearly 50,000 men every four years from 1986 to 2006, they found that the heaviest consumers had a 60 percent lower risk of aggressive tumors than men who did not drink any coffee. The BBC reports that coffee has an effect on the way the body breaks down sugar and also on
sex hormone levels – both of which have been linked to prostate cancer.

I am 79 years old and a heavy coffee drinker for many years. I do not have prostate cancer. I am on medication for an enlarged prostate and have no problems managing this issue. I hope the coffee thing is valid
