Upside Down Exercises Improve Concentration

Geezer was unable to find any scientific studies proving that forcing blood to the brain improves concentration, but hey, it makes sense, and Karen Voight, the L.A. Times’ exercise guru makes the claim, so let’s just accept it and move on. Voight recomments these two "inversion" exercises, that handily, use gravity to bring blood to the brain.

1. Knee with your forearms and palms on the floor, shoulder’s width
apart. Spread your fingers. Straighten your legs and walk in until your
heels are on the floor and your knees are straight.

2. Keep your
head and shoulders lifted away from the floor. Slowly shift more weight
to your right leg and begin to raise your left leg. Focus on keeping
your hips and shoulders facing the floor. Pause for three breaths.
Lower your leg and repeat on the other side.
