Study Says Knee Surgery No for Arthritis Is No Better Than Other Treatments

File under "yet another surgery you probably don’t need." The Washington Post reports on a new study suggesting that arthroscopy to treat arthritis in the knee – one of the most common surgical procedures performed in the United

surgery fared no better than those who received medication and physical
therapy only. Want more? Read about the debate over the merits of arthroscopic surgery for osteoarthritis of the knee in Science Daily.
