Geezer thanks Jane Brody for her lively deconstruction of the many health myths about coffee. No, coffee does not increase the likelihood of developing heart disease. Nor does it appear to increase the risk of hypertension (unlike colas). Cancer? No connection. And wait, there’s more.
Where’s the bad news? Not in Brody’s article, but Geezer’s personal research indicates that if you buy your coffee at Starbucks (more than once a day), coffee can have an adverse effect on your bank account.

Just when will the egregious practice of FLIP-FLOPPING cease from the media regarding the issues of medicine and supplements. It never stops to amuse me to read a definitive article pro an issue and the a reverse article appear in the same journal. Is the media that hard up for content?
