OK, The Climb blogger Robert Mackey will not endure the entire Tour de France, but he will attempt the L’Etape du Tour, the only segment of the race that is open to amateurs, and one of the most difficult– meaning highest– rides in the race. Mackey, 41, is described in the New York Times, whose Play magazine publishes his blog, as a "web journalist and novice cyclist," suggesting that the two terms have something in common. Read it here.
