Why do men die before women? The Wall Street Journal, that manliest of dailies, makes an effort to plumb the mystery and reports that "The reasons for the troubled state of men’s health are complex." How complex exactly? Not so much. The Journal puts much of the blame on the likelihood that men will put off seeking medical treatment for symptoms that women would not ignore. As for useful advice, the Journal offers this: One recent study in the medical journal JAMA found that preventing
weight gain and alcohol abuse in midlife were two major factors in

Just commenting on the slight oversight or typo, but doesn’t one usually “plumb” a mystery, not “plum?”
Why do men die before women? Because we want to! Date a woman for a year and it seems like a minute. Be married to the same woman for 10 years and it seems like a 100. Now that’s relativity!
