L.A. Times gearmeister Roy Wallack gives us his expert opinion on four new running shoes that, Wallack says, "address functional issues of running form, fit and feel in unique ways." Wallack looks at the Reebok Premier Pump Paris Trainer, a light-weight shoe that has an inflatable air chamber around the heel/ankle area and sells for $100. Then comes the Newton Gravity, designed to make you run on your forefoot, mimicking barefoot running. Not cheap at $175. Next up is SpringBoost B-Train, a Swiss-made shoe with a built-in lowered heel–$140. And finally the Pearl Izumi Syncrofloat2, a cushioned trainer with minimal internal stitching and a wrap-around lacing system. Just $95.
As always, the Times gives us a nifty slide presentation of the footwear reviewed.

SpringBoost B-Train are totally cool, lightweight & stable — I’ve been wearing the SpringBoost for about half a year now and totally LOVE them. Yes, they work! And have different inserts so that you can adjust the level of your workout/exercise.
