For the first time in three years, the American Heart Association has updated its health guidelines for women, and the news is excellent, at least for every busy mother who has 60 to 90 minutes for moderate intensity exercise every day of the week.
What else? The new guidelines encourage all women to reduce saturated fats intake to less than 7 percent of calories, to take a low-dose aspirin a day (for women over 65) and to avoid hormone replacement. Wait, there’s more.
