How to Know When to Quit Your Workout

A curious reader asks Outside answer man and trainer extrordinaire Chris Carmichael if it is ever OK to wimp out of regular workout.  Absolutely, says Carmichael, who cites two conditions that would indicate that quitting is the smartest thing you can do:
When your heart rate/power output doesn’t match your perceived exertion
When you feel like taking a nap by the side of the road or trail
