"Flatu- logenic" is the word the L.A. Times uses to designate food the kind of carbohydrate rich food that may announce its presence a couple of hours after it has been eaten. Note: Some readers may be disappointed to learn that, according to the Times, there is a shortage of scientific studies on the subject. It appears,
however, that not everyone gets gas from the same foods, and that
eliminating the usual suspects will not reduce gas in everyone.
