For Lowering Cholesterol, Garlic Stinks

Despite years of Geezer’s insistence to his wife and loved ones that garlic most definitely lowers bad cholesterol, a Stanford University study indicates that it is essentially useless for that purpose. The Washington Post reports that the study involved192 people, average age 50, who were given either garlic, garlic pills, or a fake garlic pills six days a week. After six months, cholesterol levels in all groups showed no significant change. The Post reports, however, that the garlic eaters reported bad breath and body odor, and the group that took the dummy pills experience unusually frequent flatulence. Read more in the Post.

  2. How about using Red Yeast Rice or Plant Sterols …. those are the things the BIG Pharmas litigated against to keep off of the market because they performed as well or better then their precious statins but ‘without the risk’ of destroying you liver and kidneys that their drugs carry!
    You can get them at you local health store!
