How many exercises are demonstrated in this new interactive feature from the Washington Post? Geezer got tired of counting, so the best he can offer is "countless," or perhaps "count them yourself." The dozens of the moves are nicely categorized by "upper body," "lower body," "core exercises," and "stretches," and also by "beginners" and "advanced" labels, and while technologically lame, they do give the viewer a good idea of what she should do. Check it out, and if any reader has the patience to count the exercises, let Geezer know how many there are.
Just over 150 … except there are many that are essentially duplicates and certain others are improperly demonstrated. Nor was there any indication of “proper form”, beyond the position of the body. Does it matter if you are using dumbells or bands to supply your resistance? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Does it matter if you move quickly against the resistance, hold, then slowly relax rather than the opposite? Most assuredly. Fitness is the key, not strength itself.
