Why Veins Pop During Exercise

Why do veins pop out during exercise? The short answer is that muscles harden during exercise, and when muscles harden, they push veins toward the skin surface.  The long answer, and one that is worth reading despite its scientific language, can be found here in the Scientific American.

  1. The article said “why do veins pop OUT during exercise”, not “Why do veins pop during exercise” as your misleading title misquotes. In an attempt to post accurate and thereby usable information you may wish to pay more attention to your editting.

    Anyways, thanks for the information. I always thought it at something to do with the extra blood flow or something while exercising…My mistake. ^.^;
