Vegetarians Are Smarter Than the Rest of Us

Geezer is wonderig if the recent revelation that people who are vegetarians are smarter than people who eat meat applies to the entire animal kingdom, or just to humans. The research, conducted at England’s Southampton University and reported by the BBC and in the British Medical Journal, looked at 8,179 people, and determined that those who were vegetarians, had higher IQs than those who were not. BBC reports that men who were vegetarian had an IQ score of 106, compared
with 101 for non-vegetarians; while female vegetarians averaged 104,
compared with 99 for non-vegetarians.
But what about the rest of zoological universe? Geezer doubts that rabbit that occasionally dines on his herbicide-free lawn is smarter than his cat, who would like to dine on the rabbit. And what does the suspiciously British study suggest about the noble bald eagle, national bird of the United States?

  1. So if you accept this as a valid study, you would have to conclude that men are smarter than women regardless of their food preferences? He he… Apparently the study is flawed, don’t you think?
