Should your trainer be talking to your doctor? Many trainers think so. As this piece in the New York Times explains, conscientious trainers want to be sure that the paces they put clients through do not do more harm than good. And clients, not surprisingly, are often less than complete in reporting their ailments and medications. One problem, the Times reports, is that doctors don’t know–because they don’t take the time to learn–which trainers can be trusted and which cannot.
