Outside Magazine’s Best Trips of 2006

These couple of dozen adventure travel trips range in physical effort from “easy” to “strenuous,” and in price from similarly easy –$1500 (scouting for jaguars in Mexico} to ridiculous–$36,000 a day for 12 ( for Mega-Yacht Heli-skiing in British Columbia). Just reading about most of these outings is plenty thrilling,  and in some cases, one suspects, preferred to living them.  Geezer likes the “Trip of the year,” an 11-day, 110-mile hike through the Kenyan bush during which travelers will track what Ourside affectionately calls “the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino). Read about all of these trips in Outside online.
