Minnesota Tops Healthy State List, Louisiana Loses

Minnesota came in first in the 2006 American Health Foundation’s rankings of the healthiest states, followed by Vermont, New Hampshire and Hawaii. How does the American Health Foundation do it? It’s complicated, but the short answer is: They look at personal behaviors, community environment, public and health policies, and clinical care.
